Day 98 - Rock your boat
I went to a Soprano solo concert with my family.
MeeAe Nam; a new faculty in School of Music and Dance
With my two boys,
it was hard to stay long because she is a classical musician and
my sons do not like the classical music.
Two things bothered them most;
1) The language
2) Tempo or beat
Her voice was beautiful enough, but I could not follow the meaning,
but I saw how she expressed her emotion through the voice music.
It was not a drama, but dramatic somehow.
Everyone in the suditorium seemed to enjoy her voice except my sons.
I thought about the importance of traditional or calssical music.
Although not many people enjoyed that type of music,
it should be learned and kept.
There was beauty in the sound that contemporary music cannot make.
It's like buying the expensive Grand Piano although we have so many inexpensive digital piano.
Digital era sometimes cannot contain some aesthetic of the analog (or classical).
They only seem to record and re-play it.

Day 98 - A Dutch composer
His name is Louis Andriessen.
...
1.
I listened and watched his music from YouTube,
and now I am listening to Philip Glass.
Mr. Andriessen's journey reminded me of what I enjoyed;
Philip Glass, Joe Hisaishi, Meredith Monk ... etc.
I remember what Deam said in our class;
"As a classical music player (Oboe) he could not like Jazz because it was too spontaneous."
Oh, this could happen everywhere; theater, music, and even theology.
My current church is based on Reformed theology, and they never accept the Pentecostal.
Oh, I cannot listen to Glass' musci anymore now.
I changed to Andriessen's. - now, Monk ...
The most amazing thing in my life is I love what I hated most.
I am pursuing a degree about Drama/Theatre for the Young which I most ignored.
Once I disliked Musical Theatre, but I sing it everyday.
To talk about Louis Andriessen again,
when he mentioned about Opera, I remember
what kind of Opera Robert Wilson created; Einstein on the beach.
And his anti-opera thoughts created a great new opera piece.
When I watched his "De Materie", it reminded me of, again,
Einstein on the Beach mixed with Chinese Peking Opera and Pina Bausch's staging style.
Usually opera uses too much of everything - set design, full orchestra, big costumes, and big voice.
Now, I am watching almost empty stage with some Motown style brass music, and it is minial, even voice.
So, I conclude the definitaion of Creativity in two ways;
1) Start from Hatred to Accepting
2) and mix it (let's fusion!)
2.
Quote
"Louis is remarkable in theat his ears are as open as his mind."
"It's also the fact that the sound I want is so different from what the orchestra does."
"The last five or six years I have been concentrating on this one work. .... "film opera"

Day 94 - Meriah's MFA project "Bud, not buddy"
Dear Meriah
I am not sure whether or not you will read this.
But I will just assume if you are reading it.
Tonight, I went to Sponberg for your show, "Bud not Buddy"
Altough I glanced and helped a couple of scenes for Mime,
I wondered what you would present.
Maybe, your former production, Antigone drew me to the theatre.
Yeah, I was there to see it, and found out your show is popular here.
Ah, and English ... yeah, I couldn't listen well, so...
I am sorry if my comment is not reseaonable.
1.Good visual - Movement, Shape
It reminded me of extanded version of your fantastic directing of ...
image theatre(?), or play with paused moments (whatever you call it)
You are so amazing to deal with that many actors (13?) making beautiful pictures.
You last production, "Ashes..." had also that powerful pictures I remember
because I took some of pictures from the show.
Yes, you have amazing talents;
1) Make good pictures with those many people (Shape)
2) and getting trust from your actors.
2. Trust
I heard so many good compliments from your actors,
and your actors seemed to like your way and somehow admire you.
I do, too.
Trust is the most important thing in our field.
Yes, it is, and you have the ability to have it from your colleagues.
That is great.
3. Beyond the time, space, race, and what's next?
And also, your perspective goes toward diversity.
Time, Space, Racial difference ...
You are the true Explorer.
The Anne Bogart's approach to Viewpoints is all about the exploring.
And you have it.
Especially, Shape, Space, and Movement.
4.So many practices with Beautiful sets
I could see how mauch time you worked with practice just by seeing
how your actors dealt with sets.
It was like dance.
So good so good.
Now, I will critisize (or I should say learn from these)
with my lack of English listening skill and my weak & long toroso.
1.Actor's voice
In the back of the row, I couldn't hear it well.
And main actor's voice sounded tired.
I thought about how could train or help the actor's voice.
Voice is usually natural born, or trained.
I wished to have big ears.
And I couldn't catch language music.
People sometimes play musical talent when they act out.
But I could a few of them.
However, you can blame my listening.
I should've improved my English first!
so ...
2. Slow revelation of Conflict
I learned it!
Conflict. Structure of play ... it is different from novel.
That's why it is difficult to adapt novel to stage.
It is mostly about writing and editing part; not directing.
So, blame your writer! ha ha ha.
Are you the writer?....
Furthermore, your production reminded me of post-modern style,
but somehow, I felt, this productino is dealing with STORY, first.
So it can be also called classic narrative style play ...?
Oh, I found I have too conservative viewpoints.
What I am trying to say is ... I wished to see new characters' coming?
When I go to see a theatre piece,
I expect to see how new characters enter with what kind of character.
and how the new characters change the scenes left.
Donald's role was that!
His role was what I expected. A new character who has enough power to change the whole environment.
Yes, my expectation might be from classic or modern way to approach to theatre.
But I hope to see how whole theatre changed with new things (not only character)
We can use different style of movement, shape, time ... whatever.
If we don't change it, somem people easily get bored.
Following only a STORY with mono-tone voice (oh, I criticize yours so harshley. sorry) can make our audience loose the attention.
3. Narrating voice (it can be concept, so ... I should accept it)
I know it is concept.
I know it is part of novel.
I experienced it from Jenny's Jonathan Livingstone Seagull.
But, I couldn't catch all the words....
(so sad that I am not native speaker...)
On stage, I usuallly expect dialogue from actors.
And different narrator .... oh, I am too conservative theatre goer...
Yeah...
That's all.
But as I told you, I am very happy to expect your future;
"One of the most potential director in America"
I saw you lifted up higher and wider.
Inspite of all my nagative feeling, you did Great works!
Thanks for all your work
Big Fire

-My problem-
I have long toroso and back pain, so I bought a ticket the last row
be cause I expected people behind me might not see.
But I found there was one more row for late buyers.
I should lower my body, and be still.
So, I had little bit painful time, it could effect my view about the show.
Ah, and English ... yeah, I couldn't listen well, so...

Day 94 - What can be my final?
I haven't thought about it,
but it came up with my team; a Shadow Puppet show
It will be a story about feast.
What can be my concept? What do I want from it?
I would like to approach Shadow Puppet with different perspectives.
What can be?
1. Shadow puppet usually shows side shadow, so it can move right and left.
So, maybe I can make shadow puppets looking front, Back, and up and down?
2. Shadow puppet show usually has fabric behind,
but how about showing all the puppeteers and actors....
Will it be effective?
3. How about recorded voice? ....
Still I am not sure what to show, I will think and try...something creative!

Day 92 - Questions after reading How to think like Leonardo
I asked to myself
"Who do look attractive now, and why?"
For actors,
I need to speculate it.
So, I found some:
1. Fashion
2. For men; biceps & deltoids muscle
3. For women; smiley face
4. Straight posture
5. no big stride
6. eye contacts with smile
7. Men with focus - reading ... especially
8. Ladies with beautiful hair
....
But these will be changed when to talk.
So, I need to know what makes people to be attractive when they talk...
so on and on

Day 92 - Carmen on market place
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ds8ryWd5aFw
Brilliant!
When I was in NYC, I thought about "why no opera singers on the street?"
There were violinists, dancers, drummers on the streets except opera singers.
But now I see them in Italy!
1. How did reach them?
In the market, there were many tourists I saw.
And there were many people who seemed never went to Opera theatre before.
Normal people in our market.
So, it can be a good place to meet new audience.
2.Did reach them?
It was like invisible theatre.
The singers didn't put on theatrical costumes.
They just looked like one of workers in the market.
And they came out with singing.
It was brilliant idea!
(Speakers were on the roof of the market,
and the singers had mic. on the shirts. ....)
But I still doubt how many "normal people" would come to the opera.
Yes, the tourists would go there.
But ....
I value this performance as itself,
but I still doubt its outcome in the theatre.
3. Creative ? Kitchy?
Creative.
Especially, when a new character came into the show.
and when they danced with audience.
It was nice.
I can see their face with joyfulness.
That's why I thought I was a great performance itself.
Brilliant!

Day 85 - "She is not sick. She is a dancer"
http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/ken_robinson_says_schools_kill_creativity.html
I ... cried when I hear it.
Sir. Robinson talked about something we already thought, but could not express
because of, I felt, being afraid of this;
"It can be useless thought"
When I was in middle school, teachers taught us
"Art is useless"
And they continued, "Only looser will go to art school"
I heard it from many people;
"Only wealthy people can study playing instrument"
"Dancers, Theater people, and animation artists are starving."
So, would you want to be that hungry people with craziness?
Yes, there are.
Math, English, Science ....
and down there, Physical Edu., Art, Music, Drama, and dance.
Of course, Art has hierarchy, too.
Music (think about Julliard),
Fine Art
Film (these days, it is popular)
Drama
Dance
... and Could somebody include "Avant-Garde art", please?
I hope to have those kind of doctor in our schools.
I wish to be like that doctor.
But if I say same comments to her parents as a drama teacher,
would they listen to me?
I've met so many creative children in America.
But they(and their parents) don't know how much they are talented.
And I cannot guarantee million dollars for them although they are gifted in the art.
They are so many starving genius artists in our world.
And we don't know how to support them.
Weren't there so many starving genius in history?
Do we have answer to nurture another Shakespeare, Mozart, and Martha Graham?
I will try.

Day 78 - Learning from Miles davis "Kind of blue"
Three things (note)
What do I think? Teaching in elementary school Theatre? yes Can I go alone? yes without family. Who do I want to meet? Peter O'Toole, Anthony Hopkins, the British actor who played Alfee ...
1. Detach comfortable or safe career to Craft more interesting future
2. Simplicity – gives freedom and improvisation
3. Provoking manager
“Jumping to next S-curve”
flat bottom – steep middle- flat top
another s-curve
abandon past success – in the pursuit of something new – Picasso
“willing to disappoint their trust on old fans”
push musicians “to the edge” effectively manage the risks
turn 180 degree to simplicity
What I could make based on what we learned today?
My comfort zone
- acting, Korean, family, school, surviving in class, America, Korea, Christian
My goal
- English, Teaching, field theatre (not school), field acting (movie), Different race and culture
2.
Complicated things in my life
-Home works everyday (class), farther-husband, student
What can be simple?
What I practice… Song, Language, body …
Choose one? Body maybe?
3.
Provoke
What do I need to provoke? Self? How? Body…. Muscle and health … food
By whom, I am provoked? Wife?
What does she say? Find a job in teaching in the US.
Teaching…
"I am good at Acting. I am talented at performing. They are my comfort zone.
Korean is my language and country, and I lived on the land of the USA for almost 7 years, so this land is now my comfort zone. Is it time to leave to another country?
Space?
How about career? Actor to teacher ? Director or writer? Or publisher?

Day 72 - Stage Director job
I worked as a Stage Director today.
It was ... somehow like a director, too. And I enjoyed that.
A show by international students and American students with international subjects.
Fun
I saw another possibilities in me.

Day 71 - Strengthen Muscles near spine
Strength comes from well-situated spine.
It is a main stream of Energy.
So, what did I say for good performers?
Strengthen
feet, neck, abdominal muscle, and back muscles.
Isn't it everything?

Journal Prompt #5 - Design Thinking
"How people would want use what he made"
What can be the goal form me in this class - Creative Thinking?
As a student who learn so many things about Theatre
I didn't have a chance to speculate how to sell it.
But I found "An actor should be in audition" or maybe "An actor needs agent"
The education that I've been through only focused on "what to sell" and "how to build it"
Now, as Edison did, I need to think "How people would want to use what I made"
1. Inspiration
Expect Success ...
All right, I will be a major film actor. Who can inspires me?
John Cho...?
John Cho inspires me. He is a Korean,
and becomes a main actor in an ABC TV show.
"What's my problem compared to John Cho?
"Where's opportunity?
"What has changed?
- My problem is staying at home and
just dreaming "somebody would find me and
hire me in any film or theatre production"
I need to go out and meet people in the business.
- My other problem is looking at me as an ASIAN.
Yes, I have accent and Asian blood, but it can be rather my strength,
but I diminish my possibility.
- Where's opportutnity?
Agent? Maybe? Or working many student production?
Going out and run more and more?
- What has changed?
I am able to look at people's eyes.
I can convey my ideas in English. Now, my Acting is better than before.
2. Ideation
Brainstorm
"Make Prototypes - many sketches, more stories, more audition materials...."
Who can be my role model? Or Who can I be like?
Daniel Dae Kim ...?
Daniel Dae Kim doesn't speak English at all in LOST.
So... don't worry ... I just need to improve how to communicate better. It is more communication skill not English grammar.
He graduated from NYU Tisch MFA Acting.
I graduated from NYU Tisch, too. (but not acting but Performance Studies MA)
He has small eyes as I have.
Uhm... but he has bigger muscles.
OK! I will have them!
What else I need?
3. Implementation
Execute the Vision
"Help marketing.
Design a communication strategy."
How can I make people need me?
Do I need to be different? I am already different.
Uhm...
"Make the case to the business - spread the word"
I need to spread the word - meet many people ....
or meet influential people ...
Will it work? Expect Success again.

Day 71 - Vitamin B complex
Vitamin B complex makes me "UP".
Without it, I was blue ....
Now, I am more ...
But it sounds somehow dangerous.
I am depending on pills?
But good food and eating well are very important for actors.

Day 64 - Comments on Live first...
I didn't say anything in last class about the book.
I wished to say these;
"As an international student, I saw so many immigrants in this country, and they survive. To artists, it cannot be easy to live first. We need to be where artists are needed - big cities. So, to talk about choosing where to live, I doubt I could be free the location.
And because of Asian culture? maybe? I feel I am behind the younger generation in American, especially White culture. Am I too old fasioned? and racist?
But all the facts in the book challenge me. It seems not easy, but worthy to invest to do. About the role of new leader, job, place to live ...., life is open to possibilities. Yes, I don't have to look at the life only by artist's or immigratnt's viewpoints."
... oh, I feel gulity ...

Day 60 - Trained what?
For stage performers,
I highly recommend to strengthen these parts of body.
1. Feet; helps to stand firm on the stage
2. Neck; helps to open your spinal cords and makes you look standing straight
3. Abdominal muscle; helps your diaphragm work stronger and sustains your body core

Day 50 - Capture, Challenge, and Broaden it!
· Capturing - How do we capture new ideas? Journaling, collaborating, reflecting, experience new “rock your boat” activities
· Challenging – Ideas occur when old and new compete. The process of discovery is critical to creativity – what about failure, extinction or evolution? How do you allow personal or organizational failures?
1) After sickness, I found I need to have strong legs, and abs. I tried to have big upper body like Hollywood actors. Big Deltoids (shoulder), Pectoralis major (chest), and biceps & triceps (arms) are symbol of Hollywood men. I am not. I am more mime artist or dancer. I wish to look good, but I don't need it.

2) For improving English, I used to emphasize every consonant in every word. At that time, I didn't have voice recorder. I practiced until full memorized. But it sounded awful.
3) For singing, I tended to practice only singing higher. I am baritone, but after practicing, now I can go to Bb. However, the sound was not clean, and sometime it was off-note. So, I turned down volume and loosened everything in my mouth.
· Broadening/Surrounding – How do increase creative stimuli in your life? Are you selective? Do you consider where your most creative places and moments are and why?
1) How do I increase ...? Keep going to the gym, and perform some movements I couldn't do before. Sometimes, I look at mirror to see how beautiful my body is (hahaha). Where ... and when ... ? On the stage, in class ... ? Maybe. How about Youtube? I keep thinking about broadening my performance in Youtube.
2) I just need to keep recording my voice. I thought about mimic great actors such as Peter O'toole, Richard Harris ... etc. Or taking auditions and being in production.
3) I thought about my concert. I am taking Cabaret singing class, and it is really enjoyable. Maybe after Spring semester, I could have Big Fire's concert? Maybe. It could stimulate my creativity.

Day 50 - Seven Ways to be Creative
I am taking classes at EMU.
And I found the goal of classes is defined by teacher's strength or perspective to the subject.
Last semester, I took "Personal Narrative" class before with Decky.
Her focus is "verbal" performance. (Thanks, God for she is a performer.)
So, She cares how to communicate with voice (with meaning and written words)
This Winter, I am taking "Personal Narrative" with Anita.
She is talented at physical performing, but I cannot tell she is a performer, but she is a scholar.
And her focus is "linguistic". So, written words seemed to be close to her.
Two years ago, I took "Personal Narrative" class with Anna Deavere Smith.
She is a professional performer or actor.
In her class, written materials are not important.
She only cared how to convey the words, emotion, and the weight of materials.
"How" was more important than "what" or "why".
And her focus was not only verbal but also kinesthetic, and I liked her way.
Who am I?
and how can I teach?

Day 43 - Action plan
"Pick one or two important items for each list and create an action plan to implement them in your lives." (Depending on the items you may be able to implement quickly or you may need to implement in stages.)
"Organizing files"
1. Buy a external hard drive
2. Move all the files from my laptop to the hard drive.
3. Check the files - delete or edit them - save something worth
4. Build my teaching plans - for my career (teacher), I would write my unique teaching plans based on the files.
"Strengthen body like a dancer"
1. Go to gym twice a day
2. 1) Morning gym time - I'd rather workout muscle build
2) Evening gym time - I'd rather focus on stretch and dacing.
3. Video recording my movement
4. Build up my choreography
- movement
- time
- space
- shape ....
5. Adapt them to plays, images, music ...
6. upload to Youtube

Day 42 - Things I could take out of my life
"Things you could take out of your lives to make room for creative activity."
"Things you could add to your life to stimulate creativity."
1. Books I don't read anymore - Kindle (or i-Pad) could replace it? or just make it organized with labeling?
2. Toys my sons aren't playing anymore
3. Clothes I don't wear anymore - Do I need to buy new clothes?
4. Carpet - I wish to have wooden floor or big floor mat
5. White walls - I wish to have colorfully painted walls or walls with mirrors
6. Comupet files I wrote many years ago, but never look again - Store and re-check them in different storage.
* I choose #6.

Day 29 - My Dreams
I dream these;
My students at Willow Run High School make a theatre production; a beautiful and great one.
And they travel all around the city, state, and even this country.
I give a nice presentation in any Theatre conference, and meeting people and networking with them.
Making a new theatre production with my friends in my department;
Meriah, Jenny, Deviin, Erin, Emily, Donald ....
Create new performances and sell them.
I sing and dance in many Broadway shows, even in club shows.
Building teaching plans and making classes about Theatre and Dreams.
I just dream those today. ...

Day 29 - Steve Jobs ... Dream Boy
Do I wish to buy and own an i-Pad?
Yes.
Why?
It is cool. I don't think I need it. But if I have one, I would think it;
"Now, I am one of them"
I don't have anything Apple made.
It's expansive.
But I always wish to have one.
That's why me and my sons always visit Apple shop when we go to mall.
I beleive people buy i-Pod not just because they really need it but because they dream to own the world;
the world of technology? the world of new medium? ...
When I studied Theatre, my theory teachers told me "build a new world"
I saw one person (her name is Ariane Mnouchikine in Theatre du Soleil) made a new world in Theatre.
How about Pina Bauch? ....? Uhm... she built the world in Theatre not making new world.
But Mnouchikine makes new world.
Someone wrote Steve Jobs sells "Dream" not technology.
The dream is about the new world.
Did you ask my new world?
Yes.

Day 29 - Dragged
Oh, I am way behind the schedule.
I was supposed to finish Autobiography last week. hhh
Here are more of my Creative Autobiography
9. What are the obstacles to this ambition?
I don't have class now?
Or
I don't have my concrete teaching plan?
10. What are vital steps to achieving this ambition?
1) Gather people or be in where people gather
2) Share what I want to teach
3) Find spaces for regular lesson
11. How do you begin your day?
Giving a ride for my second son to his pre-school
12. What are your habits? What patterns do you repeat?
Smell scent of my body
I touch my hands with my nostrils
13. Describe your first successful creative act.
I directed a church skit; it was a short mime. My actor mimed urinating toward the cross.
And one of bible teachers banned to play it. He thought it was blasphemy.
14. Describe your second successful creative act.
Another church skit. I directed a scene and asked my actor to throw the Bible on the ground.
He said he couldn't.
15. Compare them
The both were not accepted by others, but I always try to be against symbolism.
Religion created symbols, and they could lead us dangerous faith.
I felt I was not defeated by them
16. What are your attitudes toward: money, power, praise, rivals, word, play?
Money should be spent. Keeping it can be dangerous.
I am nervous if I have big numbers in my bank account.
If it can result pure admiration or adoration, I would have it.
People would listen to me if I have it. To me, using appropriate language is power.
I wish to have more and more and more and more ...
but it is like a poison. There will be no satisfaction.
I really like to get applause after performing.
Sometimes, I wish to be free from it.
It is good to think I am not the one. Rivals make me think it. They makes me humble.
I try not to say much ...
I wish to do all day long
17. Which artists do you admire most?
His name is Robert Lepage, Bryn Terfel.
Her name is Ariane Mnouchikine, Anna Deveare Smith, Mary Overlie.
18. Why are they your role model?
They are director, musician, teacher, and activist.
They make me look up.

Day 20 - My Creative Autobiography
1. What is the first creative moment you remember?
It was a science fair in my 5th grade. I invented a lamp which had adjustable wing.
The size of light was changable.
2. Was anyone there to witness or appreciate it?
I got silver medal of that. I was dissapointed by the result; I thought I was the best.
But later, I found same thing in a market. Mine was not that unique.
3. What is the best idea you've ever had?
Deciding to study Acting for my major.
4. What made it great in your mind?
Whenever being on the stage, I feel I chose right decision.
5. What is the dumbest idea?
Daydreaming about having lots of girl friends; sexy images I got from media.
6. What made you stupid?
It made me neglect all realationships related to my wife and family.
I became irresponsible if I did it. Oh, shame on me.
It made me hate myself. Low self-esteem.
7. Can you connect the dots that led you to this idea?
...
8. What is your creative ambition?
Having my own theory of acting and train students.
Also direction a creative show in this town.

Day 20 - Sick
I am sick, and I stop all my experimental movement.
- walk like an old man
- read like singing
- breathe like humming
It is painful just to be with pain.
How can I use this pain in creativity?
One thing I am really thankful is a painkiller; ibuprophen.
Bless the one who thought about painkiller and invent it.
Bless the one who invent the medicine.
I am very weak. I easily get sick; cold, backpain ...etc.
That's why I move like a tortoise, but it didn't work.
How can I save my energy? and How can I use it econimically?

Day 15 - Avatar; Creativity? Technology? or Just mixed one?
1. Awesome by technology
I haven't watched that kind of 3D IMAX movie before.
James Cameron is a good storyteller, too.
I didn't feel it was boring for 2 hours 40 minutes.
Every shot was vivid in front of my eyes.
Also, the scale was big enough. The director, Cameron did amazing job as he did in Tatanic.
2. But, tired by Japanese animations' theme - especially Miyazaki Hayao's
Avatar was like mixed version of "Mononoke Hime", "Laputa", "Naushika"
I saw so many same scenes from Hayao's movies.
And
there was a scene just like a great anthropologic movie, Baraka.
So, I would say the movie Avatar is mixed with 3 things -
1) Technology with great scale
2) Japanese animations
3) Anthropologic view in Hollywood
3. What is CREATivity?
This movie tells me about what CREATivity means in 21st century.
It doesn't have to be something new. It can be a mixed outcome.
And people accept it more easily.
Thought can start on something already done.
(but I don't want to copy it)
1/15/2010
Day 10 - Audition
In an audition,
I used my CREATive IDEAs; moving like an old person, breathing with singing.
It relaxed me while I was waiting.
How can I build CREATive audition skills?
Uhm ...

Day 9 - Distraction
When I focus, I cannot breath - it means no singing.
When I am tired, I cannot walk like an old man.
When I feel guilty and weak, there is no smile on my face.
How can I overcome these problems CREATively?
That's another question.

Day 8 - what's my lens?
I started with some actions - humming, slow walking ... etc.
Now, it's time to say what's behind all the actions.
Whenever I think about CREATIVITY, I am reminded of a woman, Mary Overlie.
I cannot say that I understood her theory, but she, yes, not only her theory but also herself made me understand what creativity is.
http://www.sixviewpoints.com/
I defined creativity is an ability to see different (or many) facets.
A cell phone in my hand is mostly used for my hand ritual; rolling the material constantly.
The cell phone's primary usage is not for calling but the hand play in my life.
It's a different way to look at a cell phone to me.
People define the world in different way.
To Mary Overlie, her brand new laptop computer might be a chopping board (or something else ... she mentioned in her class, but I forgot)
Creativity is an accepting tool of that difference.
Now, I sing for breathing mostly.

Day 6 - move like an old man
CREATive THINKing - learn from turtle
I was in Aqua Tai Chi class with many senior ladies.
While moving slowly, I thought about moving like a turtle or tortoise.
Walking SLOW-----LY.
It can help me to relax my body even boost my wisdom ... ?
Now,
I smile
humming
moving slowly.
Live CREATively ....

Day 4 - Constant singer
Result of CREATive One
"I became a constant singer"
Breathing in and out with sound makes me a singer.
I kept singing.
I sang when I jogged.
I sang when I punched a punch bag.
And
I smile all the time.
Be creative!!

Day 3 - from everyday movement
1. CREATive One
"Breathing"
When I walk, I talk to myself;
"How to look, how to walk, how to breath ....
just those things can tell who is great actor... "
What can be creative beathing?
- breath in with sound? breath out with smile?
- beath in two times shortly, and one time longer?
... etc.
2. CREATive Two
"Speaking"
When I read the Bible, I sang.
- Musical Theatre style reading
Different rythm, pitch ...
LET's EXPLORE!

Day 1 - Intro
Before raising my CREATive tree,
I need to check my seed;
Who am I ?
(What's important to me?
Name? Marriage? Children? Religion? Food?)
1. I play Wii sports every night.
My Boxing charcter, Johny is a boxing pro in Wii sports world.
I am his master.
2. I am the greatest singer in my car.
I am Opera singer, Musical Theatre singer... I am a Baritone, Tenor in my Honda accord.
3. I am an improv voice artist in a practice room in Alexander Hall, EMU.
I am great, so great.
4. I try to be my wife's butler.
I am hungry for her compliments.
That's what I am, oh, who i am . ...
